Association for Latvian Children with Physical Disabilities signed the contract
Association for Latvian Children with Physical Disabilities signed the contract No. 2013.EEZ/PP/1/MEC/076/044 on 15th August 2014 with the Society Integration Foundation about the Project „We can, if we want!”, id. No. 2013.EEZ/PP/1/MEC/076, that will be part of EEA Grants 2009-2014 program „NGO fund". The Project implementation period will be from 01.09.2014. till 31.08.2015.
Project Promoter – Association for Latvian Children with Physical Disabilities.
Project partners – The Welfare Department of the Riga City Council, NGO „We for our children”.
The aim of the project – an improved situation for young people with disabilities, in order to increase believe in their own strength and possibility to live a wholesome life, be socially and economically active, by successful integration in society.
The target group – young people with disabilities and their family members.
The location of the implementation of the project – Riga, Vaivari.
Main activities – development and implementation of the rehabilitation program, an intensive summer rehabilitation seminar, the final seminar, the summarization of results.
The planned results – an established and implemented 1 social rehabilitation program, provided support for 34 young people and for 30 their family members, purchase of equipment, 2 informative events.
Project provides respecting human rights for young people with disabilities, because every human has rights to get a support, participate in social events regardless of his/her health condition, age, residence.
The total costs of the Project are 55552,00 EUR. The maximum co-financing programs of the total eligible costs is 90% or 49996,80 EUR (where 95% of the program's financing is provided from the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and 5% of Latvian national budget). 10% being co-financed by the Association for Latvian Children with Physical Disabilities and The Welfare Department of the Riga City Council.
Project is financially supported by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
